Example 5 – Renovation of Village château.

This L shaped 15th century chateau, at the center of a small village was completely uninhabitable at the time of purchase. Subsequently it has become a comfortable family home.

Firstly the entire roof, including the central tower required replacing. Once watertight the new openings were made, the facades picked clean, sandblasted and re-pointed to give a “Pierre apparente” finish. Made to measure hardwood windows and shutters were fitted throughout.
